For those of you who have recently developed an interest in Alpaca, let us welcome you aboard. We know how hard it is to get started. You don’t know what questions to ask because you have never done this before. We were lucky enough to find a ranch that helped guide us along. Now we would like to help you learn more about alpacas and how to

We would like people to know the peace and serenity these animals can bring. While we truly believe you can make a living selling alpacas, that should not be the only reason for purchasing these magnificent animals. People buy alpacas for many different reasons. Some are retired like us and looking for a life style change. That change can be both rewarding and satisfying. We supplement our income and get to enjoy these calm and peaceful animals. Many spinners and weavers purchase gelded males for their fiber. After 2 or 3 years they have recouped their investment and continue to enjoy the companionship of the alpacas. Parents buy alpacas for their children. They can be entered in 4H events and teach the child responsibility. Because of their size and being so gentle, children can handle them without being afraid. There are many reasons to purchase alpacas besides profit and tax breaks.
